Dental Care

Dental health is a very important part of your pet’s overall health. Maintaining dental health includes dental exams, usually done at your pet’s annual wellness visit and professional dental cleanings.

Pets can develop plaque, bacteria, and visible tartar on their teeth, requiring a dental cleaning. At your pet’s dental cleaning, our veterinarians will employ digital dental radiography to detect any problems below the gum line. An ultrasonic scaler is used to clean each tooth above and below the gum line thoroughly. Each tooth is then polished to create a smooth surface that is more resistant to plaque buildup.

Please contact us with any concerns about your pet’s dental health.
